CloudApps Sponsor Chinnor RFC Flanker Matt Marley
London – 15th November 2019. CloudApps, The Sales Effectiveness & Accuracy Company, has announced it will sponsor local Rugby Club Chinnor by offering support and mentorship for its latest signing, Matt Marley.
The club, which at the time this article went to press was running 5th in the National League 1 table, is close to the heart of CloudApps’ CEO Anthony Day, CSO Simon Wheeldon and VPS Andy McDonald, who have for years supported its fantastic ethos of camaraderie, ambition and community support.
Twenty four year-old Marley has recently joined Chinnor RFC, after an impressive career playing for Wales Age Grade and Cardiff Blues. Most recently, Marley has spent three years with the London Scottish, amassing an admirable record of circa 30 appearances with the team.
Looking forward to a stellar season at the Club, Marley says:
‘My aspiration is to play as much as possible for Chinnor this year and, hopefully, make this a promotion season for the Club.
I look forward to getting back into the Championship and, in the long term, make it to the Premier one day.’
CloudApps, which is part of the Pledge 1% Model, wishes to give back to the community by committing product, time and resources to improving the state of the world.
Andy McDonald, VP of Sales and seasoned business coach, is pledging his time to support Matt Marley with regular one-to-one mentoring, as well as helping the player explore the corporate world.
An avid Rugby fan himself, McDonald, is excited to kick-start this sponsorship.
He says:
“I have personally enjoyed being a fan seeing the club continue its rise through the English Rugby Union leagues to reach the higher end of the 3rd tier of National Rugby and am delighted to see CloudApps support Chinnor RFC in this way.
Sponsorship is always valued by local clubs competing at such a high level but to add coaching and support for a player will help the player and club over the long term.

Chinnor General Manager Martyn Salt said:
“We’re delighted to see more businesses and fans getting behind the team. Matt Marley and CloudApps are both great signings for the club. When a business can support players for life after sport it is great for the player and provides more reasons for them to choose Chinnor as the place to play their rugby”.
